CT39572 - Chevrolet Powerglide Transmission Longer Speedo Housing Speedometer with Extra Seals
These are brand new speedometer housings for 1955-1962 Chevrolet with cast iron powerglide transmission. This housing will work with all 1955-1957 cast iron powerglides, and will work with SOME 1958-1962 cast iron powerglides. Please check and confirm your speedometer setup if you have a 1958-1962 (see note below).
Original housings were not made without any internal seals, so eventually they all develop leaks from the housing. This housing has been manufactured to stop those leaks. We include a metal clad seal, an oring seal on the outside of the housing, and a retainer, washer and american bolt. In addition, we include an EXTRA oring seal and metal clad seal in case you ever need one!
Overall housing length = 2.556" / 64.92mm and will work with any tooth count long style speedometer gears which measure (2.885" / 73.28mm). PLEASE CHECK YOUR CURRENT DRIVEN GEAR TO SEE IF IT MATCHES THIS SIZE; Not all 1958-1962 cast iron powerglides have this size and therefore this speedo housing will not work if the driven gear size is different.

These will also work in some standard shift transmissions, check the measurements from your original housing to see if they match up.
